Mitsubishi T-74, Main Combat Tank, Japan Self-Defense Ground Force, 1975/88, 1:72, DeAgostini
Type 74, also known as Mitsubishi T-74, was the main battle tank of the Japanese army. It was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as the successor to Type 61. Its design was based on the best characteristics of other contemporary models, placing it in the same category as the American M60 Patton and the German Leopard 1. Like these models, it is armed with the Royal Ordnance L7 105 mm cannon. Type 74 was not widely used until 1980, when the other western armed forces had already begun to introduce models more suited to the battle scenarios, becoming automatically obsolete.
