Dornier Do-217, 1: 144, Editions Atlas
The Dornier Do 217 was a bomber used by the Luftwaffe during World War II as a more powerful version of the Dornier Do 17, known as the Fliegender Bleistift ("flying pencil" in German). Designed between 1937 and 1938 as a heavy bomber, its design was refined in 1939 and its mass production began in the late 1940s. It entered service in early 1941 and by early 1942 it was already deployed on a large scale. The Dornier Do 217 had a much larger capacity to load bombs and a much higher range compared to the Do 17. In later variants, it was tested as a dive bomber and also as a maritime attack aircraft using Fritz X gliding bombs, achieving a success considerable in this last role. Source: Wikipedia.
