Ford M20 Scout Car, armored car, USA, 1943-45, 1:43, Atlas
The M20 Scout Car is a Greyhound that has had the turret removed, replaced by a low, uncovered superstructure, and installed a 12.7 mm heavy anti-aircraft M2 machine gun. Additionally, the crew carried a bazooka to partially compensate for the loss of the vehicle's barrel. Initially it was used as a command and control vehicle (equipped with the most modern radio equipment) and reconnaissance. They were also used as TBP or armored cargo transports. Initially it was called M-10 Armored Utility Car, but it was changed to M-20 to avoid confusion with the M10 Wolverine. 3,680 units were built between 1943 and 1944, in the factories of the Ford Motor Company.
