Class Osumi LPD (Landing Platform Dock), Maritime Self-Defense Force of Japan, 1: 900, DeAgostini
The desumi LST class is a Japanese amphibious transport dock. The class is also known as the Oosumi class. Although the JMSDF describes the Ōsumi class as tank landing ships, they lack bow doors and harboring capacity, traditionally associated with LSTs. Your well deck makes the Ōsumi class look more like a landing ship (LSD). Since 2014 there are 3 active Ōsumi ships with the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force.
The Ōsumi class increases its load capacity with an upper, open and flat upper vehicle parking platform, it has an elevated island superstructure balanced to starboard that gives the appearance of a small aircraft carrier, although the flight deck of the helicopter only comprises the Stern of the ship. The small deck lifts that access the lower enclosed parking deck are for vehicles instead of helicopters, the lower vehicle deck has access to the deck of the pit. There is no closed hangar for aircraft and all helicopters are tied by the top.
